Meldrum House Country Hotel & Golf Course has been dubbed the ‘Best Hotel in Scotland’ at an awards ceremony in Harrogate as well as picking up ‘Most Hospitable Hotel’ award in Aberdeen, all in one week.

The Best Loved Hotel award recognises quality, service and food and comes on the back of the 4-star hotel winning the AA Hotel of the Year for Scotland in 2014/15.  The Aberdeen City and Shire Tourism Award is the 3rd year in a row that the hotel has been awarded the accolade.

Andy Burgess, Chief Executive said: “We are delighted to win both of these prestigious awards against some stiff competition. It’s testimony to the dedicated effort of the Meldrum House team and we are proud to be amongst the top flight of Scottish hotels.”

Peter Walker, Hotel Manager was there to pick up both awards.  He commented; “These awards are really an accolade for the entire team at Meldrum House and a great recognition for all our efforts.  We work hard to ensure that from the moment you step through the door at Meldrum House, guests know they are somewhere special.”

The privately owned hotel which has features dating back 800 years is set in 240 acres within the heart of the Aberdeenshire countryside in Oldmeldrum.  With 2 AA rosettes for their restaurant it is currently undergoing a multi-million pound extension ready for June 2016.  This will increase the number of bedrooms to 51 as well as adding a brand new function suite to the back of the baronial mansion house.
